These are days of listening: to the news, your family, to predictions and analysis during these days of coronavirus. Maybe you are being invited to listen to God in a new way. Come be a part of a Zoom group that will practice lectio divina (sacred reading), a slow, structured, contemplative praying of a brief portion of scripture. This group will meet for 6 weeks beginning Thursday April 30, at 9:30 a.m. and will last about an hour each time. Zoom access will be provided to you. You will need a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam, or an iPad or a mobile phone. Please contact Susan Pynn (925) 708-7490 or firstname.lastname@example.org) with any questions and/or to sign up.
This daily devotion (Monday-Friday) is available through the Website, App, and Facebook. This helps us stay connected in our faith and have a common experience. Starting May 11, we will have a two week series on "Everyday Spirituality".
If there are needs for pastoral care with which we could help, or you would like to talk to one of the pastors or lay staff, please contact the church office (831-6084) during normal business hours (8:30 to 3:30 Monday through Friday). You may also leave a voicemail message.
Making Sense of the Scripture
Starting May 10
St. Luke’s will discuss a 7 part series presented by David Lose called “Making Sense of Scripture”. He presents the material for those of us who believe that the Bible is the Word of God, but may not be sure how God uses it to speak to us. His task is to connect us to this “Good Book” so that it is no longer daunting and dispiriting, but heart-lifting and life- changing. No previous knowledge is necessary, and questions are encouraged. Let’s get together from our living rooms(via computer or tablet) to discuss our questions about the bible. We’ll offer each session twice-at 9:00 am on Sundays and again at 6:30 pm on Wednesdays.

Virtual Vacation Bible School
Monday - Thursday
June 22 - 25
Click HERE for a video announcement from VBS Director, Krisitin Pavelec. VBS will be held virtually this year. Although this is a big change from our in-person VBS, we believe that we can still have a great experience virtually. This will take place through an at home packet and daily videos leading us in singing, crafts, Bible stories and more. Please sign up HERE.
We are looking for people who might have flowers in their garden that they’d like to share with St. Luke’s during our online worship each week. They would need to be dropped off at church on Wednesday. Call or email Julie Murray to schedule a date, or 831-6084.
Thank you to all who continue to support the church in every way. If you desire to give financial support, you may do so through automated giving, envelopes mailed in or delivered to church, or Secure Giving through our app (St. Luke’s Middleton) or our website HERE. We included a pew offering envelope in our recent mailing, or there are offering envelopes mailed quarterly. Our address is 7337 Hubbard Avenue, Middleton, WI 53562.
We offer a Communion Service alternative. It is an offering of a special gift of God in a new way in response to an unprecedented situation requiring distancing. If you would like to participate, follow the link on the website inside a specific online service to “Communion Instruction And Liturgy.”
