(Jesus, Other, And You)
The J.O.Y. Program is open to all 5th Grade youth and will meet every Sunday throughout the school year at 10:00 am in Room 106. Join your 5th Grade friends, old and new, to learn about how to connect with Jesus, Others, and You!
The J.O.Y. Program is meant to connect scripture and service in the hearts of our young people. Sunday sessions this year will focus on service learning, social justice, building leadership skills, having meaningful conversations, and learning about different ways to pray and connect. We will also have a lot of fun, with games, dramatic play, storytelling, and opportunities for fellowship with other youth.
The J.O.Y. Program will also meet every THIRD WEDNESDAY at 6:45 PM (after Oasis Worship Service) for service-learning projects, prayer, activities, and more! See our full Wednesday Night Service Project schedule below.

What IS Service Learning?
Service Learning is an experiential style of learning that moves youth beyond the classroom (or Sunday School room) to become active participants in their learning and develop civic knowledge and skills. In a faith-based program, service learning is modeled for us in the life of Christ and the disciples. For J.O.Y. in particular, we will use Bible stories and the teachings of Jesus as a foundation for why we ought to engage in service learning, and how exactly to go about loving our neighbors. The common ground between Jesus, Others, and Ourselves is love and grace, and this program aims to put those principles into practice through opportunities to serve our neighbors and listen to the stories of others.
