Connecting in Small Groups

Friendship Boats are small groups of 5 households, led by a lay leader “captain,” to provide social and spiritual connection through regular phone contact. A group phone call is held each week for regular social connection to assist in alleviating loneliness and isolation. Devotions, news from the church, and Friendship Hall style conversations are all pieces of the Friendship Boat conversation.

Easy to follow instructions for the group phone call will be provided -- it’s as easy as dialing the phone.

Our Mission

In Christian love, reach out to those who have given so much to our world but now find themselves in need of encouragement, love and support... by instituting a virtual connection that will provide a level of social connection and, at some level, personal security.

“Do not be afraid, for I am with you;

Be not dismayed, for I am your God:

I will strengthen you, I will help you,

I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,“
