Daily Inspiration - March 19, 2021 | Physical Healing

Psalm 103:2-4 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefits—who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the Pit, who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy.

I love this verse. If ever I am thinking of what heaven might be like this might be it--freedom from all sin, from all aches and pains, from all fear--while being covered with a rich, soft blanket of love and acceptance.

Our God is a God who loves us entirely as well as unconditionally. Our physical ailments are important to him. He loves us completely even when we, because of the pain we are experiencing, might feel him most distant from us. Physical pain can cause us to separate ourselves from each other but God stays right with us. And if the healing we seek does not happen in this life it is our promise that we will be healed in the life to come.

I had a friend, Connie, who as dying from metastasizing breast cancer who told me exactly that, “Jerry, if God doesn’t heal me in this life He will in the life to come.” She died confident in his care. His promise is to grant us healing now or later.

Thank you, God, for all the benefits that are ours because you are our God. Our sins are forgiven, we are rescued from the Pit of hell and all our physical diseases will be healed--in the present time or the eternal time to come.

Prayer: Lord thank you for your amazing love for us. Amen

Pastor Jerry
