Dear Friends,
It is with a great deal of emotion that I announce my retirement as Senior Citizen Lay Minister after 22 years of service to God and ministry to the St. Luke's Congregation. Â This has been the most spiritually fulfilling experience of my life and I am very grateful to the people of St. Luke's. Â I have been blessed to serve you. Â Â
I am currently being treated for multiple myeloma, a form of blood cancer and my oncologist has recommended a stem cell transplant. Â This will involve an extended period of time for transplant and recovery. Â Â The anticipated transplant will be in April, but the initial process has already begun with medications and tests. Â Â
I wish to convey heartfelt gratitude for allowing me to minister to you these past 22 years and I look forward to seeing you in church after my recovery.
Sincerely,Â
Rob GibsonÂ
