Caring Ministries

Luke's Crew

Use your skills and time; get your hands dirty with projects at church and in the community such as painting, fall & spring outdoor clean-ups, and special services days. All ages are welcome – including young children with adult supervision.

Winter Wishes

Each Christmas season, the St. Luke's community comes together through the Winter Wishes program to bring Christmas gifts to several local organizations.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Combine the warmth of prayer with the comfort of a handmade shawl through our Prayer Shawl Ministry, offering tangible expressions of love and support to those in need.

DivorceCare

Find healing, support, and understanding in our DivorceCare ministry, where individuals navigating the challenges of divorce come together in a compassionate and empathetic environment.

Stephen Ministry

Discover the gift of one-on-one care and support through our Stephen Ministry, where trained caregivers walk alongside those experiencing life's challenges.

Good Neighbor Meals

Extend a hand of hospitality through Good Neighbor Meals, where volunteers come together to provide nourishing meals to those in need.

Luke's Closet

Contribute to our community by participating in Luke's Closet, a ministry providing clothing and essentials to those in need.

Merry Mission

Join our Quilting Group where creativity meets compassion, as we craft quilts that bring warmth and solace to individuals facing difficult times.

Weekend Food Program

The Weekend Food Program (know here as Feed my Lambs) provides food for students who would otherwise go without a meal over the weekend. The program supports the Middleton-Cross Plains School district and has grown to include other churches and organizations.

Martha's Circle

A service focused women's small group.

Forget-Me-Nots

Forget-Me-Nots is a collaboration with the Middleton Senior Center for individuals in early stage memory loss. The program is designed to provide opportunities for these individuals to experience a wide variety of activities that will enhance and extend the quality of life through exercise, stimulating brain games, music, jokes and “lots of laughter.”

GriefShare

Journey through the grieving process with the support of our GriefShare ministry, offering a caring community to share experiences and find comfort during times of loss.

Caring Callers

Experience the power of connection through our Caring Callers ministry, where volunteers reach out to provide support for our community members who are shut in.

Crisis Aid

Be a source of help and hope by participating in Crisis Aid, a ministry responding to urgent needs within our community and beyond.

Prayer Group

Experience the power of collective prayer as we come together to lift up our community, our world, and each other in our dedicated Prayer Group.

Committees

Foundation

The St. Luke's Foundation was created as a legacy for the 100 year anniversary of the church. The Foundation committee now acts as stewards of the Foundation Funds, which provides scholarships, grants, and meets needs of the church outside of the operating budget.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee is responsible for identifying and recruiting individuals to serve on the church's various committees and boards. They work to ensure that the church's leadership is representative of the congregation and aligned with the church's mission and values.

Church Council

The Church Council serves as the governing body of the church, responsible for making decisions about the church's direction, policies, and finances. They work to ensure that the church is operating effectively and in alignment with its mission and values.

Heart 2 Heart

The Heart2Heart Committee is responsible for leading our congregation through the Reconciled in Christ (RIC) and the journey of becoming a welcoming and affirming church. Their work is designed to help our faith community work for racial justice, deepen and expand our welcome to people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions.

The Puerto Rican Partnership committee maintains a relationship with our sister congregation, Inglesia Evangelica Luterana Divino Salvador, in Catano, Puerto Rico.

Communications Committee

The Communication Team works alongside staff to ensure the church's communication efforts are clear and effective. They work to build on the image of St. Luke's, and improve our reach in sharing the church's mission and values to the wider community.
