Dane County’s only clothing bank for foster,

adoptive and kinship care children.

Our families often operate on the financial margins. Providing clothes allows them to better focus on loving the kiddos. Kinship is a home where a child is being cared for by a relative (i.e., grandma) and are often not part of the social services network. Learn more with our 2020 Annual Report.

Luke's Closet currently has modified operations:

  • Kiddos can still receive clothes via delivery; please complete the ONLINE FORM.

  • We are not able to host personal shopping appointments or Shop & Eat Events at this time.

  • If you'd like to support Luke's Closet, donate online or shop our Target Wish List.

There are three ways children can receive clothes. All items are free. Children may receive clothes seasonally or as needed.

We aim to provide 5 - 7 outfits/child. We provide clothes to the best of our ability but are limited by our donations. Regretfully, not all types of styles and colors of apparel may be available. Please complete a form so we know how best to serve you.

"Luke’s Closet is one of my favorite resources in Dane County!...It is so important to me that children are well dressed, don’t stick out like they’re in foster care, and feel confident with their appearance.

- Dane County Social Worker

"Our family loves the items we chose for the kids and it lessens the strain for parents who have limited resources. This is a wonderful organization that supports community members in a very positive, respectful way.”

- Foster/Kinship Family

“They are some of the most thoughtful and kind people that I’ve met! Clothes were in great shape and some new even. We can’t say enough about how thankful we are! God Bless!
